Plant it Forward

Raising funds today, to plant trees tomorrow...

The Legacy Tree Fund is a project of North Carolina Urban Forest Council that aims to plant 10,000 trees in North Carolina during the next decade. We believe that growing our urban forest is one of the most important and valuable investments that we can make in our communities. Trees bring to our communities shade, energy savings, cleaner air and water, a sense of place, and more. As the foremost experts in the state, we are seeking sponsorships from businesses and donations from private citizens to fund tree planting projects across the state.

Each year, we set goals for the Legacy Tree Fund…fundraising goals, tree planting goals, education goals. In 2015, our goal is to raise $13,000 and fund 4 tree planting projects.

We plan to share with you our goals and the process by which we reach them. You can track where we are in the fundraising process and learn about events and efforts that our funding provides.
